We believe our health care system should work for all Coloradans.
In 2017, we undertook intensive strategic planning and re-branding processes that gave us new clarity and direction for our work. We renewed our commitment to bringing people together to ensure factors like race, income, and ZIP code don’t determine a person’s access to care or opportunity to live a healthy life. And, we re-focused our efforts onto the three priority issues we believe will make the greatest progress toward our long-term goal: developing champions for health equity and the social determinants of health, changing how we define and pay for health care, and supporting the leadership of immigrants working to increase access to coverage and health care.
There is much to be done still, but fortunately, we’re not alone in this work. We stand alongside incredible community leaders whose lives are being affected by these issues daily, and we have joined advocates, policymakers, health care providers, and others who are building a multiracial movement for health equity.
