Us and Them
What can happen when we are busy is that we lose one of the things that we need most when the work is hard – empathy. To me, the ability to empathize is foundational to leadership, authentic relationships, and to taking care of one another.
It Takes a Community
Over the past year, CCMU has made a concerted effort to travel to the far reaches of Colorado to meet with health care leaders and community members to get a firsthand account of local health care system innovations.

Rush home. Feed the dog. Start dinner for the kids. Impatiently call my husband to see how far away he is. Check my watch. See my husband’s car turn the corner. Say goodnight to the kids and jump in my car to rush to a meeting that starts in five minutes.
