Ever since our organization’s founding 19 years ago, Center for Health Progress has been working toward our vision of a healthier Colorado, free of barriers to needed health care. We have worked on related initiatives in the past to extend coverage and access to care options to more Coloradans, and we are proud to see the progress made in our state. We continue to work hard to ensure that every Coloradan has the opportunity to live their healthiest life.
Center for Health Progress is not taking an official position on Amendment 69, or ColoradoCare, and will remain neutral. While we support the intent of the ballot measure to achieve universal coverage for Coloradans, we are uncertain that the amendment as written will meet its goals. We do, however, appreciate the thoughtful and robust dialogue that has been inspired by this initiative and we will continue to actively pursue creative and effective solutions to address the challenges in our current health care system. After voters make their decision in November 2016, we look forward to working with all partners to create the best possible health care system for all Coloradans.
