Communications Manager
Marissa has over a decade of experience in nonprofit communications and fundraising, and is passionate about amplifying the voices of directly impacted groups and mobilizing resources for community-driven change. In addition to her work in communications, Marissa has been a Lecturer at University of Colorado at Boulder since 2014, where she received her Masters of Fine Arts. At Center for Health Progress she combines her skills in communications strategy and implementation with her background in community organizing.
As co-founder of the Boulder chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice, she is known for building trusted relationships, rallying resources through mutual aid, and supporting other white people in understanding their role in ending white supremacy. Outside of her professional work and the time she spends organizing, Marissa enjoys homeschool adventures with her two young kids where they live in Longmont.
